Announcement in newsper  - Exhibition of ‘Guiyang Cartoons’ (Manhua Guiyang) or scenes of Guizhou. Free entry. Creator of Niubizi, on the invitation by the Mayor He Jiwu, Huang Yao will be donating all the exhibits to the City Government for the development of the city’s art and culture. Wentong Publishing House will specially publish the exhibits as a book.

Huang Yao after living in Guiyang for 2 months, felt that this city was poetic and he wrote a 'poem' of 100 sentences about it. Then he drew 100 cartoons, each picture corresponds to a sentence as the titles. Guiyang in Cartoon showed scenes of the city with Niubizi participating in the custom, traditions and life of people of that region. No one had ever described Guiyang so completely and in such a wholesome humorous way. For most outsiders Guiyang was a far away and undeveloped place. Even some people in Guiyang would concur but not Huang Yao. In Manhua Guiyang he wrote that, “Here is limitless uncultivated land, hills with minerals, and tribes that have not accepted the new civilization. All these are wealth and power, limitless wealth and power. Although it is at a corner of China's great south-west, it has taken up the responsibility for the victory of the Chinese in their War of Resistance. ”
