In 1956, Huang Yao was invited to Malaya (now called Malaysia) by the education minister, Tun Abdul Razak (who later became Prime Minister), to help shape the country’s adult education policies. 4th to 7th October 2012: Huang Yao Foundation organises the first public exhibition and sale of the works of modern Chinese artist Huang Yao since his demise in 1987, presenting 50 paintings from its Human Figures collection at Fine Art Asia (FAA) 2012 Hong Kong to raise funds for its operations as well as to fund initiatives such as children's programs, exhibitions and cartoon animation.
