July 17 2014: Huang Yao Foundation awarded the Arts Supporter Award

Back

We are excited to announce that last night, the Huang Yao Foundation, was awarded the Supporter of the Arts for their contribution to the Chinese Heritage Centre for the translation of Hua Ren Zhi. Both partners of this project are keen to see this newly translated work published, as it gives compelling insights into a early part of Singapores’ history and the Chinese people whom resided in Singapore at that time.

Hosted annually, the Patron of the Arts Awards honour and recognise private corporations, organisations as well as individuals, that have demonstrated financial and in-kind contributions towards arts in Singapore for the sustained support and promotion of artistic activity. Contributions are recognised in the visual arts, film, literature and performing arts. They pave the way for the city's creative environment to not only exhibit content, but also create it.

Guest of honour, Mr. Lawrence Wong, Singapore's Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and 2nd Minister, Ministry of Communications and Informations, was there to attend the special occasion.

We would like to thank all of you very much for your continued support.
