June 21 2013: Crossing Frontiers…

The Huang Yao Foundation blazes forth towards it's goals to raise funds for initiating projects related to Huang Yao’s unrealized dreams with the launch of its first annual Sales Catalogue, showcasing a limited number of original ink paintings from the modern Chinese artist.

“I feel very heartened by the progress that we are making in our endeavour to realise one of my grandfather’s greatest desires to make an animation film [which he had been in the final stages of planning with the WAN Brothers in 1936]”, enthused Carolyn Wong, Huang Yao’s granddaughter.

On 21st March 2013, the Catalogue was released for direct sale to the public through the iTunes store as an iPAD APP. The APP enables buyers to browse through digitised images of the paintings, videos of the artist’s life and work, and register interest on purchasing and tracking sales. Since its launch, some 36% of this years release of paintings have found good homes.

Along with the release of the Catalogue on iTunes and several other selected platforms and in keeping with the Foundation’s view of working with new partners to launch each annual catalogue release, the Huang Yao Foundation came together with Swiss financial institution, Bordier & Cie to present their clients with a private preview of the 2013 Sales Catalogue.
