Note: Zhang Yingchao was a famous and active cartoonist in the 1930s Shanghai. He served in the committee for the First National Cartoon Exhibition in 1936. He was among the 19 cartoonists in the welknown 1936 "Cartoon world in the Double Nine outing" painted by Wang Zimei. His painting style was influenced by the U.S. magazines, being a businessman from a rich family, he was nicknamed a bourgeois by fellow cartoonists. When the war broke out, he went abroad, and in 1949 to Taiwan. He continued creating cartoons in Taiwan.
